I'm going to give it 4 stars but honestly you never know what you are going to get. When it first opened it was AWESOME. Now the flare is gone and the staffs passion is lost. Sometimes your burrito is great and sometimes it's like a dang soup. So it's like pays $10 for a gamble on a good burrito. Good luck lol

Freebirds is a funkier and twisted take on the burrito market. Much like the other burrito places in town but with much more choices of flavored tortillas, meats, cheeses, and different vegetables. They have everything from roasted peppers and garlic, to avocado, roasted limes, and 7 different sauces. I usually go with a beef and queso combo loaded with veggies and extra roasted garlic. The burritos come in several sizes. You can also get quesadillas, tacos, and nachos.

This place rocks!! It kills Qdoba and Chipotle! So many more options like 4 different choices for your tortilla. A burrito called the Super Monster that could feed a family of four! Great sauces (especially the Death Sauce). Fresh ingredients, friendly attentive staff. If I am wanting a great burrito this is the only place I will go from now on! Great Job Freebirds! It works just like the other places you have been to but they take it up not just one notch but a few. You will never go back to the other guys after you try Freebirds.

Filthy to say the least. The staff were literally arguing amongst themselves over who knows what. They were out of several pretty important items but didn't really seem to care. While waiting for the peppers and onions to grill for a fajita burrito I watched as several employees reached and worked over my uncovered burrito as it waited for the peppers and such. And well...if the condition of the store is indicative of the people preparing the food then I would just as soon they not be reaching over it. Anyway the place is disgusting and I will never go back and strongly discourage anyone from wasting their hard earned money on this crap.

Carnitas bowl for the win! Don't forget to add the badass BBQ. Service and food is always great. Leave your snob card at home because here it's OK to let your originality and freak flag fly.

I guess I had high expectations for this place. A buddy of mine had wont a year supply of burritos during the opening and he talked this place up big time. Living in choctaw, i do not get a chance to make it out there very much. But i was able to one day and I got to admit, it did not impress me. I had high hopes for this place. It had a way bigger selection than Qdoba, but honestly it just wasnt that flavorful. The meat was bland and kinda cold and the beans and rice did not have much flavor. however with that said, I am going to give it anothe try and hope it was just a bad day. But for now, Qdoba is my first choice.

Ate lunch here and found it to have a fun atmosphere and delicious food. I ate a burrito bowl and my husband had a freebird burrito. Both are made to order. You go through the line, tell them want you want on your burrito: meats, beans, rice, cheese, etc... We enjoyed the food and found it be very reasonably priced. We will definitely go back. Would have given five stars but it was freezing inside.

Rude staff! I never give poor ratings but this place takes the cake! How you run out of rice with an hour to go is crazy to me. I wonder if the owner finds the lost sale as funny as their staff. I guess we will spend our money somewhere else. Sad.

Pretty good burrito, I'd go back if friends wanted but probably wouldn't suggest it.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful crafting my fantastic burrito. They have a ton of choices to make a burrito or whatever your heart desires. The options are endless! One word: FANTASTIC.

This place is fantastic. I'm not used to so many options on burritos. And of course I love spicy food, never having had a burrito that was too spicy for me so I ramped up the spice on my burrito. Spicy chili pepper tortilla with chicken, habanero sauce, and death sauce. WAAAAAAAAAAY too spicy!!! Which made me like the place all the more :-D

Very noisy. Confusing. She did not add quac as requested. No napkins for to go order. I wonder what will move into this location when FreeBirds closes? The line was such a cluster, employees and guests yelling across each other and the music was so loud. Will not be going back.

Awful. I got the freebird steak burrito with black beans because they burned the refried beans and couldn't make more for some reason. The burrito was cold and the steak was about the same as you would get at taco bell. They use a guacamole type paste that didn't taste very good.

I really like freebirds. I know that the opinion is really split for this place. But I enjoy their grilled chicken burritos. The chicken is well-marinated and is pretty good. But they give you a ton of food which is always a plus. The variety of salsas is awesome. One of the down-sides is the cost of extras like 89 cents for sour cream and so on. Overall, it's a quick burrito that is pretty darn good. I would say it's a hard battle between chipotle and freebirds. I do think that chipotle has a "cleaner crisper" taste while freebirds is a bit more saucy and has bigger portions. Either way, I love having a freebirds right by my house!

Good burrito spot. Different than Chipotle and Qdoba. Price points are the same and they have more options for burrito sizes and types. Try the queso.

Freebirds was one of our very favorite places when we lived in North Texas. We were so excited to have a location open here. We actually went on the opening weekend and had a very good experience and the food was great. Unfortunately, we have visited a few times since and there has been a noticeable change in the customer service and food quality. We went this past Saturday 6/30/13 and had our worst experience yet. The staff was terrible it was very slow but we were quickly rushed through the line as if we were bothering them by even coming in. My wife had been given a loaded points card as a prize and when we went to use it the girl at the registered just added more points to and and gave me the total - I told here that the card should more than cover our meal. She then rudely told me it was my responsibility to TELL HER if I was going to use the points for the meals. Are you kidding me?? She was very rude and still did not use all the points to cover our meal and I ended up paying the difference even though we had points to cover. I was so very frustrated I just wanted to be done with her attitude. The food was poor quality when my wife and I both asked for black beans they shouted to the back "more black beans needed" and then proceeded to scrap the bottom of the bowl to sprinkle a few beans on our meals. I don't care if I have points left or not - no interest in returning unless there is a significant customer service overhaul and food quality improvements. I hope the management team is paying attention because we really want this place here if it can be fixed! This would never be okay with my employees!

The food here is great, always good. Way better than chipotle, the only main complain is the way its run. The line is very unorganized, if there is more than 4 ppl there it takes for ever. The employees are so overly friendly to the point of abrasive and annoying. They stop to talk and it just makes it take so much longer and ppl behind you are waiting. Just make my burrito I didnt come here to make a new best friend dude. I hate giving a bad review because the place is awesome, the food rocks, but its honestly annoying to go eat there lol. Ive been to alot of other free birds that dont have this problem.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
